Hi, I joined the writer's block years ago, then kind of drifted out of fandom

My question: Where can I find the Curinii Wars??? I tried searching for it, and this is the only site that comes up.

I LOVED that story. It was the only fanfic I've read where my heart was actually beating, I was no nervous. Did Lilith complete it? I guess she's taken it down, but if anybody could send it to me, I'd be so grateful.

All right everybody, LISTEN UP. falterfrei and idril_telrunya and I have been talking about the good ol' days, you know, over the years, all that wealth of fanfic that I'm sure you never want to have see the light of day again, just sitting on your harddrive. Well, find 'em, get 'em out, and dust 'em off and set aside your embarassment (I could very well only be talking about myself here, haha), because we want to see them! And reminisce. It'll be fun times! I promise.

That being said... y'all can go first. Heh.

Well, Char said I should post the new version of Spiralling here. But I, er, wrote HP slash instead. It was originally just going to be a little one-shot but it kind of... grew. I'd like to know what you guys think before I unleash it on the world. Please feel free to nitpick grammar, pull apart my characters (but please put them back together again) and tell me if you think it can be improved or if it makes no sense.

Title: None so far.
Chapter: 1/?
Fandom: Harry Potter.
Pairing: Harry/Cedric
Rating: PG-13? Harry swears a bit.
Summary: Cedric's noticed something about Harry that Harry can't see. Featuring clueless!Harry and knowing!Cedric.
Warnings: Slash, slash, slashy slash slash. Eventually.
Disclaimer: Anything you recognise belongs to JKR.

this way for C/HCollapse )

You know...since Writers Blok is closed, why don't we all just post here? I mean its the same sort of thing, right? And then Lilith can start posting Curinii Wars again *KERMIT FLAIL!* and she can lock all her posts instead of having to email all of us! Yes...no? Oh and CHAR! Uh the background isnt working anymore. It just says angelfire 4 gagillion times soooo lets change that yes? Um...GO TEAM GO! Heh.

Looking for Critics/Reviewers for the Writer's Blok [08 Jan 2004|07:10am]

wordweaver81
Do you consider yourself an objective person? Do you enjoy critiquing others' work? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. The WB is in need of critics, people whose sole job is to read through stories (upon request of the author) and post their honest opinion of it. I am looking for people who can be objective and critical enough to point out the flaws in a story as well as praise its strong points. Please note that this service will be entirely at the request of the authors; if you don't want your story critiqued, you don't need to worry about it.

We are also looking for reviewers. What's the difference, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. A critic reads a story and tells you what's good and what's bad about it. A reviewer reads a story and points out ways it could be improved, giving tips on what to fix, what to embellish and what to trim down on.

A third category we are looking for is Beta Readers. Some of you may already be unofficial Betas; we would like a group of official ones. Anyone is free to apply for any of these positions; you will find a thread about them in the Critic's Corner.

I'm still working on the backround/layout/color scheme and whatnot so if it looks a little wonky, that's because it's unfinished. Heh.

I have a question, however. I'd like to put a lovely little quote in the backround picture... something about writing. But I don't know what. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. :)

Welcome to the writersblok.net LJ community! [27 Dec 2003|01:23pm]

Since so many of us already have journals, I thought it only made sense to spread our ties even farther. This is the WB.net LiveJournal Community. Let the madcap hilarity begin!

For those of you who don't know, the Writer's Blok is a website and forum for those who enjoy writing and reading what others have written. Some of it is fanfiction, some of it is original fiction, some are short stories, some are longer. There is even a forum for those of you who enjoy writing - and reading - poetry. We would be happy to have you come join us at www.writersblok.net.
